Title.Sphere Eversions: h-principles, and homotopy groups of mapping spaces.Abstract.This talk is the culmination of our recent module of the Grad Student Geometry/Topology Seminar, on Fiber Bundles. I will introduce `immersions', as weaker versions of embeddings. Then I will discuss the h-principle for immersions, as a special case of a partial differential relation. In the case of a sphere immersing into a Euclidean space, the h-principle yields a calculation of the set of immersions up to homotopy through immersions. The `sphere eversion' is a surprising consequence of this calculation.
