Keeping the Spirit of the Library Open House Alive: Online Resource Sharing and Virtual Bookshelf
When:
- Monday, February 8, 2021
Where:
- Virtual
Description:
-
At the dark and cold and snowy start of the spring semester, the library opens its doors to the campus community to celebrate a new semester and our shared fellowship as educators. Over the years, our literary fantasies have taken us around the world, into the labs of scientists, and down the rabbit hole.
This year we’re working to keep the Open House spirit alive in a different way. Our event will again be a celebration of resource and service delights from library and university partners, but this time they’ll be featured on the 2021 Library Open House webpage. There, you’ll safely meander links to partner websites and social media profiles with your choice of edible goodies and a fortifying beverage in hand. You might even be in your slippers!
When you attend our virtual event, you’ll also get to browse the Open House Virtual Bookshelf to find your next good read or to discover a book that may help you through the semester. This virtual shelf will feature books recommended by our partners and will include links to the library’s catalogue record so you can place holds and drop in at your leisure to check out your choices.
While the party will be different this year*, we are excited to keep the spirit of celebration and appreciation alive. We hope you’ll join us. https://www.lib.montana.edu/about/news-and-events/annualevents/open_house/2021_open_house.html
Grab a sparkling beverage, make a toast to this semester, and begin dreaming of the time when we can all get together again!
