CBE Seminar: Insights into biofilm growth and function enabled by image cytometry
- Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 4:10pm to 5:00pm
- via WebEx
Dr. Knut Drescher is a professor at Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology & Philipps-Universität Marburg. He received his PhD in biophysics from the University of Cambridge. He became interested in molecular biology and bacterial biofilms during his postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University. Dr. Drescher’s lab focuses on understanding collective bacterial behaviors, using biofilm formation and swarming as model systems. His group uses multiple tools to including molecular biology techniques, mathematical modeling and microscopy which will be the focus of his seminar.
Host and Moderator: Heidi Smith
