The Wildfire Preparedness and Recovery team works to provide relevant resources and decision support tools to those seeking information related to improved wildfire preparedness and resiliency when faced with future climate variability. |
The MSU Extension Natural Resources Program actively outreaches & educates within
communities about wildfire, wildfire preparedness & recovery. In some instances,
the Natural Resources Program also provides financial support to landowners who implement
wildfire risk reduction measures within their communities.
The goal of the fire prevention and community preparedness program is to reduce the
number of human-caused wildfires and educate homeowners, who live in Montana's wildland
urban interface, on how to take measures to protect their homes, property and personal
safety.
