Janine Burrow Portrait

Janine joins our team after having served as the Executive Director of Hearts and Homes Family Resource Center.  She has spent over twenty years in the non-profit sector providing support services to families and children in the foster care and adoption system, women weaving through the domestic violence maze and working closely with the judicial system to provide children the opportunity to have safe supervised visits with non-custodial parents. Janine moved to Jefferson County after spending many years on a farm surrounded by black angus and golden retrievers. She still can’t help but agree with her late mother-in-law – nothing is as beautiful as a black cow on a green spring pasture. She has been known as ‘Ms. Janine” at the Whitehall Elementary School for several years as a Para and Substitute Teacher, doing what she loves, interacting again with children, seeing that light go on as the idea or concept connects. Janine looks forward to supporting the Madison-Jefferson 4-H program, watching as the next generation learns skills that may transition them into the next phase of their life.
