Polysomnography includes measurement of numerous signals including
sleep electroencephalography (EEG), breathing patterns,
overnight beat-to-beat blood pressure via finger plethysmography, and carbon dioxide levels.

Lab Overview and Microneurography

This technique is used to measure sympathetic nervous system activity,
in addition to beat-to-beat blood pressure and electrocardiogram recordings.

Gold-standard technology

Our laboratory is equipped with gold-standard technology including polysomnography and microneurography to measure nocturnal electroencephalography and nervous system function. Our laboratory has the unique ability to examine the link between sleep quality and cardiovascular health using direct measures of the sympathetic nervous system.
