Doctoral candidate Brian Pettygrove will present “Characterization of Host-Pathogen Interactions During Early Staphylococcus aureus Biofilm Formation on Surfaces” on Wednesday, Jan. 26. His research looks at the early immune response following implantation of biomaterials.

FORD FELLOW MALLORY MOLINA PIONEERING A NEW METHOD TO SEARCH FOR BLACK HOLES

Molina is pioneering a way to look for massive black holes in small galaxies known as dwarf galaxies. Black holes are elusive because researchers are often only able to detect the total light coming from distant galaxies.
