Montana State University’s policy on Web Accessibility states, “The university is committed to creating and maintaining a welcoming and inclusive educational and working environment for people of all abilities and ensuring equal access to information and services for all its constituencies. Web communications are one of the ways the university communicates and conducts business with the campus community, potential students, and the public.”

In addition to MSU’s web communications on montana.edu, it is important that MSU’s social media content is also accessible by all. If you are communicating on social media on behalf of Montana State University, we encourage you read the full policy on web accessibility in depth.

Furthermore, the Social Media Policy Toolkit provided by Digital.gov is a great resource. This toolkit is a shared service of the Federal Social Media Community of Practice lead by teams including The Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy in the effort to “help agencies evaluate the accessibility of their social media programs for persons with disabilities, identify areas that need improving, and share their own ideas and recommendations for helping ensuring our modernization programs are easily accessed by all who need them.”
