Description of Request

Submitted By: Tia Brown, Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship

As the Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship continues to grow in student headcount, the need to hire additional staff to provide academic advising to these students has also increased. There are not enough offices within the current suite to allow suitable working condition for these recent hires.  We are hoping to extend hallway from Jabs 124, renovate/refurbish existing, adjacent areas. The storage closet at the end of the hallway of the Office of Student Services suite bumps up against an adjoining wall to the catering space in room 147.  The College would like to explore the possibility of creating a passage way to the catering room through the closet.  If possible, then the catering room would need small cosmetic changes to turn it into two office spaces.

Resolution

Date: October 4th, 2019

The renovation of the catering space in room 147 was approved by the Space Management Committee so that the Advising Commons can expand and continue to support student success, student engagement and retention.
