Description of Request

Submitted By: Joan Broderick, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry

A lab allocation for Garrett Moraski in CBB 308 was brought forth to the Space Management Committee in November 2019 and approved by the committee; CBB 308 was being shared between Moraski and Thomas Livinghouse. After further review with the department and Research Space Subcommittee it was decided that it was more practical to allocate the lab in CBB 328 to Moraski instead. Sharon Neufeldt’s labs are in CBB 318 and 320; she is currently accommodating Eric Grumstrup in half of her lab in CBB 318 until summer, but there are discussions happening with another faculty member about potentially finding Grumstrup space within their labs. Grumstrup needs a hood space for a chamber/instrument that needs to be contained inside a hood for the wet chemistry component of his research. Thomas Livinghouse has a need to maintain his lab in CBB 310 as well as some of the space in CBB 308 for his research.

Resolution

Date: February 7th, 2020

Space Management Committee unanimously approved the following allocations: Thomas Livinghouse will maintain CBB 310 and half of 308. Sharon Neufeldt will maintain CBB 318, 320 and the other half of CBB 308. Garrett Moraksi has been allocated the lab in CBB 328. Allocation of additional space for Erik Grumstrup may be brought back to the committee at a later date.
