Description of Request

Submitted By: Jim Mitchell, Director of University Health Partners

Jim Mitchell of University Health Partners has requested office space for temporary staff who will be conducting COVID-19 contact tracing for the University. The space proposed for allocation is in the library basement, room 054 and 056 for a total of 213 sf. These rooms were designated hoteling spaces by the Space Management Committee; they are standard office spaces with no special features. Those hoteling spaces are currently empty and can be assigned for any temporary office need by university entities. They will be used through the end of the year but could extend longer based on additional funding (provided by the State). There may be additional contact tracing staff hired in the future and a subsequent request for space may occur related to that. Allocation of this hoteling space for temporary use is consistent with its purpose.
