Description of Request

Submitted By: Stephanie Gray, Dean of Gallatin College

In an effort to reduce lease costs, Gallatin College (GC) is relocating their entire AA/AS program onto the main MSU campus. As a result, the program requires new space on the main campus to accommodate existing faculty members, advisor, and staff who currently occupy space in Unit B. Gallatin College requests 8 offices.

Vacant space on the 4th floor of Culbertson Hall has been identified as the future location for the Army and Air Force ROTC programs. Due to the lease vacation, 8 offices can be made available for Gallatin College until the ROTC renovations begin, at that time an alternative space for Gallatin College will need to identified and brought back to the committee for review.

Resolution

Date: May 7, 2021

Space Management Committee has approved the plan to temporarily allocate 8 offices within Culbertson Hall to Gallatin College; the offices include Culbertson rooms 402-408 and room 410. This move supports transitioning more of Gallatin College's programming to the main campus. As this is a temporary solution, this allocation will be reviewed by the committee in the future once the design and planning occurs for forthcoming projects.
