Description of Request

The Bounty of the Bridgers (BOB) is currently housed in the basement of 1102 S. 6th Avenue in the Office of Health Advancement (OHA). This space is not easily accessible and requires moving materials up and down stairs in an unsafe manner. Additionally, BOB is working on obtaining a food license so that they can provide non-perishable and perishable food items to students, faculty, and staff, this will require an extensive remodel of the space to meet permitting requirements. Instead of remodeling a space that is inaccessible, OHA has proposed relocating to the vacant apartment in the 1102 building. This space will allow for the pantry to become accessible to all students, has a separate entrance from other spaces, and will provide a space to park the refrigerator truck that is being purchased by the program. OHA will be able to renovate the space much easier than the current location, provide better access to the people served, and provide a safer workspace for the operators of the BOB.
