The US 101- First Year Seminar Peer Mentor Program is currently accepting mentor applications for the Fall 2023 semester!

US 101- First Year Seminar Peer Mentors are MSU students who will be in their 2nd year or higher in Fall 2023. Mentors will be trained, supported, and empowered to shape the futures of the next incoming Freshman class through their first semester of college and their transition to MSU. Please provide two MSU references who know you well and can speak to your academic abilities and to your ability to mentor freshmen.
  • References should be MSU faculty or staff who can speak to the items mentioned above.
  • References cannot come from family members, but may come from other student leaders, including Peer Mentors.
  • Please include the contact information of your references, and we will contact them directly.
  • If you were nominated by a faculty member or Peer Mentor, they can act as one of your two references
