- Self Assessment (Who are you? What are your values? Your interests? Your abilities?)

- A review of the “World of Work” (What occupations are present in the work place? What occupational areas are expected to increase or decline?)
|
- Goal Setting. Establish what your options are. Test reality (do an internship, conduct an informational interview, participate in a day of job shadowing)
|
- Begin your Job Search. Most people think this is were the Career Planning Process begins (with a job search). Don’t make that mistake! Commit to the first three steps, and you will likely move into the fourth step with more confidence and focus.
