We are always looking for enthusiastic and hard-working graduate and undergraduate students who have an interest in spectroscopy, numerical modeling, instrument design, and materials synthesis. Interested students should contact Erik via email, phone, or in person!
04/27/18 - We are seeking a postdoctoral research associate in ultrafast spectroscopy and microscopy of semiconductor nano- and micro-structures. Candidates should have exceptional optics skills, including building and alignment of multi-beam nonlinear instruments, troubleshooting low-signal measurements, and experience with detection electronics (lock-in amplifiers, PMTs, APDs, signal generators, line cameras, etc). Other desired traits are some linear combination of experience developing models (e.g. Python, Matlab, Mathematica), solid state physics training, fitting and analyzing experimental data, electronics design and fabrication, micro- and nano-fabrication experience, and materials synthesis. PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Optics, or closely related discipline required. Tentative start date is in early July. Interested? Please contact Erik Grumstrup at firstname.lastname@example.org or 406-994-2988.
