Message from President Cruzado about earthquake in Haiti

January 14, 2010

Dear faculty, staff and students,

As the tragedy of the earthquake in Haiti continues to unfold, we are reminded of the need to open our hearts and hands in times of sorrow. Montana State University extends our heartfelt sympathy to the people of Haiti and to their many family and friends across the globe. In particular, we offer prayer, concern and support to those members of our MSU family whose lives have been personally impacted.

The level of human suffering and massive destruction requires a global response, and to that end we encourage you to support relief efforts. The U.S. State Department has created a Web site providing information about various organizations that will be offering assistance to the area, as well as resources for connecting with relatives or friends living or traveling in Haiti. Please consider how you can be of assistance.

MSU's people are renowned for their generosity and willingness to roll up their sleeves and help when there is work to be done. I thank you for your efforts in supporting our Haitian neighbors.

Sincerely,

Waded Cruzado
