WELCOME to the web site for the Department of Education at MSU - Bozeman. We are pleased that you are interested in one of the many programs we have in undergraduate teacher education and/or graduate programs in school administration, adult and higher education or curriculum and instruction. If you are an alumni of one of our programs, we hope you enjoy catching up on the latest information regarding what is going on in the Department.

The Department of Education has two units: Curriculum and Instruction which prepares undergraduate teacher education majors at both the elementary and secondary levels and Educational Leadership which offers graduate programs in K-12 teaching, school administration plus adult and higher education. Professional programs for the preparation of elementary and secondary teachers at the baccalaureate and master's level are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), as are the master's level programs for the preparation of elementary and high school principals. The doctoral programs in school administration and curriculum and instruction are also NCATE accredited. In addition, all education programs are approved by the Montana Board of Public Education/Office of Public Instruction.

If there is any way we can be of assistance or if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thanks for your interest in our Department.

Dr. Joanne Erickson
Interim Department Head and Associate Professor
