2020-2021 Shooting Sports Training Dates & Registration

Registration Dates: Billings-March 31;  Bozeman- April 7;  & Kalispell- April 14

Billings: April 9 & 10, 2021 at 4-H Building, Metra Park: Registration / Agenda

Bozeman: April 16 & 17, 2021 at 123 Doe Road, Belgrade, MT 59714: Registration / Agenda

Kalispell: April 23 & 24, 2021 at Grandstands, Flathead County Fairgrounds: Registration / Agenda

 Each training workshop includes 3-hour Friday night sessions covering the philosophies and policies of Montana 4-H and 8-hour Saturday session of discipline training. Upon completion of the course, volunteers receive a certificate that allows them to administer 4-H Shooting Sports in their county and in the discipline, they received training for.  Montana State 4-H Horse Event 

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Montana State 4-H Horse Events this year. Your State Horse Event Committees are working hard to make this the best year yet at a very affordable cost. Fundraising has begun, registration packets are completed and will released June 1, 2021. Blocks of rooms have been reserved for best rates available for both events.

These events are provided so you have the opportunity to showcase your hard work with others at your skill level from all over Montana. When you complete at the one or both events, you can make new friends, learn valuable skills though educational opportunities, join in fun activities, and win great awards and prizes.

  • Information about contributions of Silent Auction items/gift baskets for events from Counties and/or Clubs.

 GPS & Drone Aerial Mapping

An Introduction to the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Drone Aerial Mapping Technologies and how they are used in agriculture and natural resource applications. The wide range of practical applications provide 4-H youth and clubs with many options from which to pursue their interest and projects - from military, farming/ranching, natural resources, history, geospatial, story-telling, outdoor activities, and so much more.

Meeting schedule will be March 23rd; April 6th & 20th; May 4th & 18th; June 1st, 15th & 29th all at 6:30 PM Mountain Time (US & Canada)

Montana 4-H Collegiate Scholarship Applications

Application Due: April 1st

The Montana 4-H Foundation offers several collegiate scholarships to students. When filling out the application, you will select which scholarships you would like to apply for. All scholarships require certain Criteria to be met, in order to be awarded. We ask that you only apply for only the scholarships you qualify for. Below are links to the scholarship application.  Kids' Chance of Montana Scholarship

Application Due: March 31st

Kids' Chance of Montana provides scholarships to students who have had a parent killed or severely injured on the job. Montana has one of the highest rates of fatalities and severe work-related injuries in the country. The Kids' Chance Scholarship application is available at Kids Chance of Montana. Application deadline is March 31st. Eligibility criteria is quite minimal beyond the experience of having a parent who has suffered a significant workplace injury or fatality. The scholarships can be used toward 2 year & 4-year colleges/universities, technical/career education opportunities, and are renewable.  Invisalign Change Makers

Application Due March 31st

The Invisalign Change Makers Initiative, in partnership with National 4-H Council is accepting application for $5,000 cash award opportunity for 4-H Youth. All teens ages 13-19 who have made an impact in their community in the past 12 months are eligible to apply for a chance to be recognized for their contributions and win one of 100 cash awards ($5,000 each).
