This update to W. Alberda’s 1995 vita recently was submitted by Wil – Marty Hamilton, May, 2021

“Following retirement in 2001 from all college and community duties, I participated in more than twenty service opportunities. They involved ministry trips to several communities in Mississippi, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Viet Nam, and Haiti.

Age has now limited me to fewer activities. Building wheelchairs for Hope Haven International Ministries and serving on the local county committee of Siouxland Habitat For Humanity are my present ways of service.”

Marty came across this relevant item in the 6/15/2018 edition of an Iowa newspaper:
Habitat volunteer Willis Alberda was named “Volunteer of the Year” for Siouxland Habitat for Humanity.
