On-Campus Resources

Note: some are only open to students in certain classes or degree programs. 

  • Outdoor Recreation Program
    • The Outdoor Rec Shop has tools for tuning bikes, skis, and an outdoor bike wash station. Some services cost money. Check them out near the Intermural Fields or at the new Wellness Center starting March 2024.
  • Innovation Alley, Norm Asbjornson Hall:
    • Machining and manufacturing lab, open to Mechanical Engineering Capstone Students, certain engineering classes, and available to research groups upon request.
  • NAH 220 Light Build Room:
    • Assembly Room for Mechanical Engineering Capstone Projects and EGEN 310R Classes,
  • Welding Lab, Barnard Hall
    • Lab for welding and joining process classes and Engineering Capstone projects.
  • School of Architecture Shops, Cheever Hall
    • Woodshop, metal shop, printing, laser, and 3D printing open to Architecture Students.
  • School of Art Guilds, Associations, and Legions:
    • Groups that focus on specific mediums such as metalsmithing, ceramics, printmaking, and more.

  • Bozeman Makerspace
    • A community makerspace in Bozeman, Montana
  • Arts on Fire 
    • A paint your own pottery studio in Bozeman, Montana
  • Biome Slow Craft Creative
    • This space sometimes hosts workshops and other events that teach the basics of certain techniques like metalsmithing or printmaking.
  • Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture
    • A variety of classes for adults and children are offered through the Emerson. 
  • Bozeman Community Kiln
    • Pottery studio that has classes and membership options.
