Prerequisite: NRSG 504 or Consent of Instructor

 

Course Description

Teaching/learning principles are integrated into nursing education in academic or practice environments. Students practice, observe, and evaluate teaching/learning processes. The instructor and student negotiate laboratory activities. 

Course Objectives

1. Demonstrate appropriate teaching competencies.

2. Integrate personal philosophy of education into teaching activities.

3. Apply teaching and learning principles.

4. Evaluate outcomes in the teaching/learning process.

5. Use appropriate evidence as a basis for teaching practice.

* Laboratory credit as defined by the University (1 credit = 3 hours of work per week).
