Base tuition for non-resident summer courses is $3347 for 3 credits. The MSU Summer Edge discounts that base cost by $350/credit. Staff in Student Accounts and Financial Aid will provide you with the best financial package possible given the terms and conditions we have with Federal Financial Aid Policy. This tuition waiver cannot be combined with any other tuition waiver or nonresident discounted tuition/scholarships you may be receiving. Non-residents receive a $350 discount/credit, that means a discount of $1050 per 3-credit class.
Check out the tuition and fee section for more information.
Class start and end dates vary, with most start dates in May, June, and July. Classes are offered in the 4x4, 6 and 12 week formats. Check out the summer calendar for specific dates.
The discount will be applied through the financial aid office as a fee waiver. You must confirm your bill in MyInfo in order for the waiver to be applied. Do not worry if you don’t see it right away. The process may take a day or two to appear.
Wait for new bill, pay and get refund. Or self-calculate the deduction and pay that. Electronic statements will be sent as soon as the discounts are applied to students’ accounts. In the meantime you are welcome to make a payment of any amount. Late fees will not be charged.
