Peer Advocates:

Along with our staff members, we have a cohort of around 40 students who are trained Peer Advocates. While they come from many different majors like Neurobiology, Psychology, and even Mechanical Engineering, our Peer Advocates all have a similar passion for supporting survivors of interpersonal violence. This group undergoes 40+ hours of training to learn about the roots of interpersonal violence, services for survivors on our campus, and how to provide support and healing strategies to survivors. In our office they answer the 24/7 crisis support line, meet with survivors in a personal setting, and help plan many of our events. Out of our office they can be found reading good books, studying, cooking, or enjoying the outdoors.
