MSU center to be renamed in honor of the late Ivan Doig, dean of Western writers

The MSU Center for Western Lands and Peoples will be renamed the Ivan Doig Center for the Study of the Lands and Peoples of the North American West as the result of an endowment by Carol Doig in honor of her late husband.

Local events commemorate 100th anniversary of World War I armistice

MSU’s Center for Western Lands and Peoples and the Gallatin History Museum have coordinated a series of events beginning Oct. 9 and running until Veterans Day to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918.
