Current Research
My research focuses around endangered Pallid Sturgeon in the upper Missouri and lower Yellowstone Rivers. I am working on three broad topics. First, estimating population abundance of Pallid Sturgeon and Shovelnose Sturgeon, a native sturgeon species. Second, quantifying diet overlap between Shovelnose and Pallid Sturgeon and comparing dietary composition to reach level estimates of macroinvertebrate abundance. Finally, building qualitative food webs for both rivers systems to better understand relationships between species and possible food limitations.
