Course Description

Nutritional needs and health concerns during the different stages of life: pregnancy, lactation, infancy, preschool years, middle childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and later maturity. Major service-learning project with agencies offering nutrition services.

This course fulfills 3 credits of the Natural Science degree requirement in the Liberal Studies.

Melody Anacker.
Melody Anacker is a registered dietitian who has taught the Human Nutrition class at MSU since 1990. She has professional experience in the areas of private practice clinical nutrition and public health nutrition. She especially enjoys working with nutrition topics throughout the lifecycle and helping students understand how nutrition applies to and affects overall wellness.
