Apply for Admission

You must apply for admissions before taking online courses through Montana State University. If you don't have a Bachelor's degree, please apply as an undergraduate student. If you have a Bachelor's degree, you can either apply for a specific graduate degree program or as a online non-degree seeking graduate student.

Register for Courses

Once you've been admitted, get step-by-step instructions on how to register by visiting the Registration Process page on the Office of the Registrar website.

Note: Montana State University requires all students to show proof of immunization against certain diseases before registration. MSU encourages all students to submit proof of immunization so it will be permanently on file. If your immunizations are not on file and you are taking only online courses, the immunization requirement must be waived each semester. Please contact Student Health Services at (406) 994-2311 or e-mail [email protected] for information on immunization waivers.
