About

Shay Steinbeisser joined MMEC in 2023 as the statewide Automation Engineer, offering technical assistance and guidance to manufacturers implementing or upgrading technologies for their production and related operations.  Based in Sidney, Montana, Shay also serves as a Business Advisor for eastern Montana.

Shay holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University, with strong construction, agricultural and facility engineering experience.  Prior to joining MMEC, he served as a Staff Engineer for Interstate Engineering, Inc., leading site design, project design and specification tasks for several public facility projects including bridges, water treatment plants, public swimming pools, and a child care center.  At Agri Industries, he specialized in the design, specifications, and implementation of irrigations systems.

A native of Sidney, Shay has deep connections to eastern Montana and a longstanding commitment to the region’s economic development.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, and as a member of the Chamber’s Ag Committee.
