In summer 2004, on the recommendation
of the Assessment
and Outcomes Committee, MSU adopted its new
Student
Outcomes Assessment Policy. This policy is designed to foster the
integration of formal program assessment into the evolution of
departmental curricula and instructional practices. The policy
emphasizes faculty participation and the need to document the use of
assessment data in the decision-making process. An Assessment Guide (updated 11-13-07) for department heads provides more detail on the
process.
The links below allow you to review
departmental assessment plans. Assessment reports will be provided
annually and assessment plans will be updated every two years. Please use the cover pages below at to begin your documents.
All plans are reviewed by members of
the Assessment and Outcomes Committee, who provide feedback to the
departments and request updates in cases where deficiencies are noted.
