Overview

Hyalite Hall is the newest residence hall housing up to 510 students providing updated and modern amenities for the on-campus population. The design encompasses single, double, and triple room layouts. The new building also includes amenities such as resident meeting spaces, collaborative academic work areas, connection to the Wally Byum park, a kitchen area, interior and exterior bike storage and a living stairwell for students and staff to utilize for either casual or formal purposes.

Savanah Olson

Savanah is originally from Tacoma, Washington. This is her third year working for housing, and she has previously served as a Resident Advisor and Assistant Community Director at MSU. Savanah is majoring in Environmental Science- Land Rehabilitation and enjoys spending time in the outdoors. When she's not out skiing or hammocking, Savanah enjoys reading and crocheting.

Connor Kloss

Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Connor graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Before becoming a Community Director for Housing, he has previously worked as a Resident Advisor and Assistant Resident Director for University Student Housing at MSU. Through these experiences on top of the six years working as a Camp Counselor, Connor is excited to be working with students of all backgrounds and experiences in Hyalite to help them succeed in all aspects of education and their goals set for their time at Montana State. Connor is excited to assist with the development of engaging programming and community life in his second year as a Community Director!

Outside of his job, Connor enjoys getting coffee at local spots in Bozeman, reading books, listening to a wide variety of music, and exploring Montana!
