Note:  Before we can set you up as a content manager of a new website, or provide you with editing access to an existing site, we require you to first attend one of our "CMS 110:  Introduction to the Web CMS" sessions.  Please visit the course page for more information.

Also: As you familiarize yourself with the CMS, please consider reading the MSU Web Guide.

Do you:

MSU's web pages are managed through a Content Management System (CMS) that allows individuals with little knowledge of web programming or development to create and manage web content with ease. If you would like help using the CMS and editing your web pages please see the Web Content Management System (CMS) web page.

If your website already exists, getting access is very simple.  Once you've attended one of our training sessions (see above), submit a support ticket to us and we will take care of the rest.  If the site already has an administrator, we will need to obtain their approval before providing you access.  Once access has been granted you can begin editing your content; please allow up to 48 hours for this process.

Before we can create a site for you, you must have attended one of our training sessions (referenced above).  Pages hosted by the university content management system (CMS) feature a professional design, are mobile-friendly and accessible, and allow integration with dynamic and rich University Communications content (MSU News and the MSU Calendar of Events). The domain, web hosting, and authoring tools are all available to you free of charge.
