Tess graduated with a B.A. in Journalism-Advertising and a minor in environmental studies from the University of Oklahoma, class of 20137. During her time at OU, Tess was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, an executive board member of the Bridge Builder program for minority student-athletes, and on the Dean's Honor Roll for the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. After completing her 1L year at Texas A&M University School of Law, she began and completed a Master's of Art in Education at Washington State University with a focus on sports law and management. In 2018, Tess received a Master’s of Art in Performance and Sport Psychology, which she applies daily to improve the intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, and self-esteem of her students through motivational interviewing.

 

She strives to find unique and personalized ways to help students explore their identity and interests to realize their personal, academic, and professional goals. At The Academic Collective, Tess leads the academic coaching and college application programs, provides test prep for the ACT and SAT, and offers subject-based tutoring in English, professional writing, history, government, environmental science, and all sports management courses. She has been an entrepreneur since 2016 and currently works for international media and production company, Hypebeast Inc.
