MSU’s College of Education, Health and Human Development offers a wide variety of programs in health care, preventative health fields and teaching. The education department offers programs for future educators, leaders, researchers and policymakers, from pre-K through post-secondary education.
The Health and Human Development department offers the only accredited program of study for aspiring registered dietitians in Montana, as well as programs in exercise science, community health, family & consumer sciences, early childhood education/child services, health enhancement K-12, sustainable food systems and the new hospitality management program that began in fall of 2017.

About the College
Facts & Stats
- This college has two advising centers for its students to ensure there is always someone to answer academic questions. The Education Advising Center is located in Reid Hall and the Health and Human Development Advising Center[BROKEN LINK] is located in the Marga Hosaeus Recreation Center.
- Over 65 unique scholarships are awarded annually through the College of Education, Health and Human Development.
- The mission of the Education Department is to prepare highly qualified professional educators and administrators through exemplary campus and distance based programs and field placement in quality public and private schools. In addition, the department contributes to the state of Montana and the nation through the faculty's active research and outreach efforts.
- The Health and Human Development Department believes the five domains are integrated in the fabric of human well-being: social, intellectual, physical, economic/financial and emotional/spiritual. The faculty and staff within this department focus on well-being from early childhood through gifted performers and on to mature adults by teaching, research or service programs.
- This college has a total of 10 clubs and organizations for its students; 3 of them are specific for the Education Department and the remaining 7 are specific for the Health and Human Development Department.
