The State of Butterflies in the Western United States

Speaker: Chris Halsch, PhD candidate in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno

Description: Pollinating insects such as butterflies are facing many challenges, including a changing climate, pesticide use, and other interacting stressors. Chris Halsch, a PhD candidate in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology discusses his work examining the impacts of pesticides on butterflies. Learn about actions that can aid conservation efforts not only from pesticides but other threats facing butterflies in the western U.S.
