Initiate all formal meetings with CT & FS

Regularly check in via D2L (EDU 495)

Reference Student Teaching Calendar

Submit weekly journal entries to FS

Submit lesson plans to CT 48 hours in advance of teaching (To FS for observations, 24 hours in advance)  Use DF-based Lesson Plan Format for formally observed lessons at least through midterm.

Implement co-teaching mentality and, whenever appropriate, co-teaching strategies

Observe TC & provide growth-oriented feedback

Report any concerns to FS; if these persist, report to MSU FPL Office (406-994-6277)

Provide support for Artifacts 1-4:

  • Lead PLC Seminars

Facilitate conversations for student teaching situations requiring additional support

Review Field Experience Handbook

Schedule Intro Meeting with FS & CT

Read REP Guide & watch REP videos

Take OPI IEFA course; submit badge

Give CT & FS REP Goal-setting Observation Form

Sign and submit CT contract

Review CT Handbook, REP Guide for Mentors and Student Teaching Calendar

Sign and submit FS contract and tax forms.

Review FS Handbook, REP Guide for Mentors, and Student Teaching Calendar

Respond to e-cat emails 2 x week and keep virtual office hours.

Develop D2L course for all sections of EDU 495, “Student Teaching”

If approved, sign TC Substitute Teaching Form

Approve REP lesson plans

Conduct midterm meeting with CT and TC; collaboratively complete Formative Danielson Performance Assessment

Final formal observation; complete DF Observation Tool

Lead final conference and collaboratively review TC progress
