Department of Native American Studies Core Values

The Native American Studies Department at MSU services various constituencies, including the representatives from many Indian Nations who become MSU students. Our community does not look to or rely upon one nation's value system; instead, we offer a longstanding commitment to students, communities, and nations - Native and non-Native alike - that help craft our core values and principles as international and pan-tribal, if not universal.They cut across various traditions and are at work in the Department. Through intention and effort, the American Indian Hall is provided as a home for students.
