Dear Bobcat Parent and Family Members,
And, welcome to all parent and family members of newly enrolled MSU students! It's wonderful to have you as part of the Bobcat Family.
I hope you're having a great summer. While the start of the school year is still six weeks away, we're busy on campus getting ready for the arrival of your student in August.
I'm happy to report that we've made significant progress on the Marga Hosaeus Fitness Center this summer and we're on track to have the facility reopened in August. We have completed the removal of the east gyms and the conversion of the once interior walls into exterior walls is well underway. The goal is to preserve the ground level portions of the eastern fitness center--those containing the racquetball courts and climbing wall.
The foundation work for two temporary structures to replace lost gym space has also begun. These "bubble" structures being erected to the south of the fitness center will provide the gym space needed for educational, athletic and recreational programming over the next few years while permanent structures are designed and built.
For those of you helping a first-year student transition to college life, we'd like parents of new incoming Bobcats to join us for a live informational webinar:
Residence Life Webinar on Tuesday, July 23 from 6-7:00 p.m. MDT
Our Bobcat Parent & Family Program has partnered with Residence Life to provide you with a webinar focused on move-in day and living in on-campus housing.
