Create a Curriculum Map
A curriculum map is an effective tool for relating learning outcomes to specific classes that make up the program curriculum. This creates a visual representation of how what is being taught in each course of the program relates to the program learning outcomes.
Curriculum Map with Assessment Artifacts Identified
Program: BS in Earth Sciences
This curriculum map maps all of the courses in the program’s curriculum with the program learning outcomes and identifies assessment artifacts to be assessed. According to this curriculum map, each Program Learning Outcome is assessed in at least two courses, making for a robust assessment of the learning outcome, as it is covered in multiple courses. The artifacts to be assessed are assignments that are part of the course, which is appropriate and good assessment practice.
