  1. Welcome and introductions
  2. Approval of September meeting minutes
    • Approved
  3. Informational items:
    1. Staff Diversity Award
      • Discussion of existing PAGE award (President’s Award for Gender Equity) that had been given to one faculty and one staff member each year. This year, the faculty awards and staff awards will be given at different ceremonies which gives an opportunity to develop a new alternating award focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Diversity Council discussed name and criteria options for the new diversity award.  The group was presented with several options and discussed terminology and emphasis of the recognition. Diversity Council members leaned towards Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Award. The award description discussed for this year (which will be for staff, alternating annually with the PAGE award) was, “Recognizes a staff member who demonstrated outstanding commitment and made significant contributions to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the Montana State University – Bozeman community.”
    2. Diversity-related data review with Becca Belou, OPA
      • Becca presented on student enrollment demographics, retention and graduation rate data. Discussed student data on socioeconomic status, efforts supporting success of various groups (first-generation students association, disability services, veterans services, etc.), trends around adult learners
