Office of Research Development offers Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program

The Office of Research Development in partnership with the Office of International Programs invites MSU faculty and professionals interested in the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program to a lunchtime presentation and alumni panel discussion.

Topics covered will include: 1) a program overview and how to apply; 2) new application assistance and awardee supports at MSU; and 3) alumni perspectives and experiences.

Broader impacts have become an increasingly important component of grant evaluation criteria. Beyond grant proposals, considering broader impacts can also help clarify and enhance the societal value of one's research. This workshop provides an overview of broader impacts and why they matter, and offers examples of strong statements.

The NRT program aims to prepare the next generation of innovators in STEM careers through rigorous research-based training of graduate students in master's and doctoral degree programs.  The program is dedicated to effective training of STEM graduate students in high priority interdisciplinary or convergent research areas, through a comprehensive traineeship model that is innovative, evidence-based, and aligned with changing workforce and research needs.

NSF’s EPSCoR Research Fellowship award provides up to six months of salary support (travel costs, lodging, etc.) for you and one trainee to travel to an esteemed institute or university for onsite training and research. This opportunity is open to a wide range of research areas, and the on-site travel timeline is very flexible to accommodate work and family commitments.
