About the Advising Center

The Education Advising Center serves as the primary resource for all undergraduate education majors. Elementary and Secondary Education students are encouraged to visit the Education Advising Center each semester. Appointments can be made at anytime, however, most information is covered during Group Advising each semester. During Group Advising, the student's personal course plan will be reviewed and revised as needed. Students receive detailed information and planning for professional preparation courses, required forms, course prerequisites, and requirements needed for entrance into the Teacher Education Program.
Transfer and Second-degree students should bring information regarding previous college work to their initial appointment! It is critical that you bring the MSU Evaluation of Transfer Credits (completed by the Admissions Office).
Secondary Education students are advised by their major advisor as well as the Education Advising Center.
Restricted entry to Education courses and personal data forms (PDFs) are available each semester in the Advising Center prior to pre-registration.
Education students are encouraged to view the video podcast and check the bulletin board regularly in the hallway outside the Advising Center (132 Reid Hall) prior to pre-registration.
