What is 4-H?
4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 to 18.  Youth are involved in hands-on, experiential learning that allows learning by doing.  All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills.

Who can join?
Youth, age 5 -18 as of October 1 of the current enrollment year, may join. Youth that are ages 8 and older are considered regular Youth Members. Youth that are ages 5-7 are considered Cloverbuds and have a more limited project selection (i.e Cloverbuds, Horseless Horse, Dog Obedience, Cat, Rabbit Breed & Poultry Breed projects only).

What can I do in 4-H?
Popular projects include, dogs, baking, shooting sports, robotics, leathercraft, livestock, and teen leadership are just a few of the many projects offered in 4-H. Check out the project list linked above to view the complete list for the current year.

When should I sign up?
Join anytime...But you must be enrolled by our county's 4-H enrollment deadline of March 1st to take advantage of all 4-H opportunities, including participation in the Fair.  We do not encourage enrolling between March 1-Sept 30 as not many projects/clubs meet during this time and it is best to wait until Oct 1 of new 4-H year.
