Please follow these helpful steps to get enrolled in 4-H.

Step 1  Decide on a club that you want to be a part of  > See list here 2023-2024 Gallatin 4-H Club List
Step 2 Decide what projects your child wants to do. There are over 200 Montana 4-H Projects to choose from, Gallatin County 4-H has volunteers that lead about 40 projects > See list here 2023-2024 Gallatin 4-H Project List

Enrollment opens on October 1st each year. Enrollment takes place online only at: https://4h.zsuite.org/ 

**Please do not try to create an account before October 1st, the system is not currently accepting enrollments.

Step 4 Pay Enrollment Fees via Zsuite Stripe, or check, cash, debit at the Extension Office. Come into the Extension Office to pick up project curriculum books. *Please note: we do not mail you the curriculum books.
Step 5 Read the monthly 4-H Newsletter for program updates/information, club and project meeting info and leader contacts.

What is 4-H?
4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 to 18.  Youth are involved in hands-on, experiential learning that allows learning by doing.  All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills.

Who can join?
Youth, age 5 -18 as of October 1, 2023, may join.  Youth that are ages 5-7 are considered Cloverbuds. Youth that are ages 8 and older are considered regular Youth Members.  

What can I do in 4-H?
Popular projects include, dogs, cooking, shooting sports, leathercraft, livestock, and teen leadership are just a few of the many projects offered in 4-H. Check out the project list linked above to view the complete list for the current year.

When should I sign up?
Join anytime...But you must be enrolled by our county's 4-H enrollment deadline of March 1st to take advantage of all 4-H opportunities, including participation in the Fair.  We do not encourage enrolling between March 1-Sept 30 as not many projects/clubs meet during this time and it is best to wait until Oct 1 of new 4-H year.
