Newer high yielding variety with relatively high kernel weight and plumpness, low grain protein content

Agronomic Characteristics:

Yield: 13% higher than AC Metcalfe, 7% better than CDC Copeland
Straw Strength: good resistance to lodging
Plumps: heavier, plumper kernels
Maturity: Similar to AC Metcalfe
Disease Reaction: Moderately resistant to net blotch and spot blotch, some studies have found lower indices of FHB infection

  • Higher extract than AC Metcalfe
  • Lower barley protein
  • Average soluble protein
  • Color similar to AC Metcalfe
  • Enzyme levels lower than AC Metcalfe, higher than CDC Copeland
  • Beta-glucan lower than AC Metcalfe and CDC Copeland

  • Good overall brewhouse performance
