In the scientific world we have a way of describing how a crops performance is controlled called GxE - or Genetics x Environment
This means that although the breeding program works to develop high performing varieties
(Genetics), the Environment in which they are grown is also important - and to some
extent this is controlled by the on farm management under which they grow. In order
to help growers, the program conducts management trials in order to provide recommendations.
