Dear MSU Students,

Welcome back, Bobcats! We are so excited to have you back on campus and in our community.

As you probably know, our Bobcat football team appeared in the FCS National Championship

game last January and they are eager to make it back again this year. Our Bobcats open

the season next Saturday, September 3rd at 6 pm for the annual Gold Rush game. I’d like to

remind you how to claim your free student tickets for football games:

  • At noon on Mondays of home game weeks, student tickets will be made available at

www.msustudenttickets.com.  Tickets are limited and expected to sell out for each

game, so be sure to log in early. There are also a limited number of buddy passes

 available for $10 each.

  • Make sure you bring your Cat Card to the game- you’ll need it to get in with your ticket.
  • If you get a ticket and scan in for the first five home games, you will automatically have

a Cat/Griz ticket uploaded to your Cat Card before they even go on sale!

Bobcat Athletics will provide free Gold Rush shirts for all students in attendance at the game

on September 3rd, so be sure to get there early!  I will join President Cruzado and Lucas/Bella

in ASMSU with providing pizza to students standing in the front rows of the student section.

Don’t forget: for every other sport, you can just show up with your Cat Card. There is no need to

upload a ticket to attend. Bobcat Volleyball kicks off their season at 10 am tomorrow in Shroyer- swing

by for a break from class!

Once again, welcome to MSU! Let’s make it a great year.

Sincerely,

Regards,

Matthew R. Caires, dean of students
