Premier Wine-tasting Event a Success

The Montana State University-Bozeman Libraries and College of Business joined together to create a premier wine-tasting event, In Vino Sapientia - from wine comes wisdom, April 20 at the Bozeman Best Western GranTree Inn.

The event provided an opportunity for partnerships between the Bozeman community and these two cultural and economic mainstays of Montana in an effort to raise awareness and funding. More than 200 people attend the gala event.

The evening's activities featured the tasting of more than 120 premier wines, extensive hors d' oeuvres and both a live and silent auction as well as a great raffle! Successful bidders went home with fantastic purchases including original artwork, fishing trips, a wine trip to France, a stay at the California premier wine valley as well as numerous other items.

While final numbers are not yet available, early figures point to a successful event. All proceeds from this event will help the Libraries respond to greatest need requirements and the College of Business to provide funding for student scholarships as well as academic and faculty initiatives.

We would like to thank the evening's emcee, Scott Heck of Security Title Company of Gallatin Valley and the valet services of MSU College of Business Beta Alpha Psi. The auctioneer was Ruth Mary Lovitt and musical entertainment was performed by The Hyalite String Quartet.

This evening would not have been successful without the help from our sponsors, donors and volunteers. Please review this story in the next few weeks for the list of our sponsors and donors.
