Bonita Peterson KramerBonita Peterson Kramer, professor of accounting, was recently awarded the American Accounting Association Forensic and Investigative Accounting Section Best Teaching Innovation Award for her case Cardinal Wholesalers, Inc.: A Fraud Examination/Auditing Case Simulation,” co-authored with Tom Buckhoff of Georgia Southern University. The simulation is based on a true fraud case in North Dakota and provides students with insight as to why auditors could miss a $1.75 million fraud scheme for five years. This case is currently being used by educators in Australia, Canada and throughout the United States.
