Transcript: "Deployment underway here. We have four SAMI CO2s and a SUNA nitrate analyzer and four or five oxygen sensors. We’re putting them all in one location so that we can calibrate their responses and make sure there are no offsets within the system. And we’ll be taking samples as well for actually validating the accuracy overall of the sensors."

  • Nitrate Analyzer

Transcript: "All right, so we are back here on Day 2 of our deployment. Corey’s looking at trying to download some data from the SUNA, the nitrate analyzer. Qipei is helping out there. Hopefully things have gone smoothly overnight."

  • Oxygen Sensors

Transcript: "So it’s September 21st, we are out in the field again. We’re at the Jens location on the Upper Clark Fork River which has a bridge across it just off of I-90 here. Right now we’re deploying a bunch of oxygen sensors looking at a high resolution oxygen signal in this stretch of river. The idea there is to generate data that can then be used in an oxygen visualization to see how oxygen spatially and temporally varies in a short stretch of stream to see if we can see significant differences at different times and different spots within the short stretch. So we’ll see how that turns out. Stay tuned."

  • Clark Fork Sensors

Transcript: "Well here we are. We’ve pulled all the sensors out of the river. It’s Oct. 9 and we’re calling it a year here on the Clark Fork. We’ve spent the better part of two months collecting data with these sensors and also collecting street data so we can quality control the instruments and learn more about -- give us more information to interpret the data that the sensors are getting. So yeah, Corey and Qipei have been leaders in this one. And we’re downloading data right now so hopefully we’ve got some good results and you’ll see those in the future."
