International Undergraduate Merit-Based Scholarship

The MSU Office of International Programs is proud to offer merit-based scholarships to qualified international undergraduate applicants that are offered full admission to Montana State University. These awards are based on grade point average only as of April 2, 2021. These awards can be applied only toward MSU tuition and cannot be awarded to students being given Conditional Admission in order to attend Intensive English classes with INTERLINK International Institute.

When an international student submits their application, they are automatically considered for scholarships based on their grade point average from high school or college coursework. Students who are offered full admission to attend MSU with a cumulative GPA of 2.5+ on a 4.0 scale are eligible for consideration. Awards range from $5,000-$12,000 per year.

This scholarship can be renewed annually if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, maintains full-time student status, and attends as a non-resident student.

*Any scholarships offered through the Office of International Programs prior to April 2, 2021 will be upheld as described in the original award.

Please note: Scholarship consideration is based on academic performance and will be awarded in the order in which students are offered admission, so it is best to complete the application early and confirm any award quickly. Students will not be considered for the Office of International Programs Scholarship until they have been offered Full Admission. Applications should be received by the term application deadline as listed on our Application Instructions Page.
